I was doing some web searching and came upon a RRFC banner ad and clicked just to see what was going on...and came upon THIS:

THAT would be a shit-hot trip! Of course, on such short notice (as if notice was the only thing I was short of) just wouldn't allow me to do this unless I had won the lottery or received and especially huge endowment from someone or something...and I'd have to bring my wife with me...

For shits and grins I went to the registration information page and quite nearly had a massive brain hemmorage. Yep...my ship had better come in if I ever want to do something like this.

I could save massive amounts of cash by just going straight to Liverpool and hanging out at Sack The Cat for a few days and would probably be as equally fulfilled...even IF Graham doesn't give me a brand new Gibson-Epiphone Les Paul ready for signing...

Haven't played the Cavern but saw Carl P there last year... its a nice rock venue now... not too large, allows you to get in close to your heroes.

Also played with Paul Carrack (sort of...) in the '70's when my band 'Stud' (great name heh?) opened for ACE when they played the local college where our bassist was a teacher. Paul was the singer with them when they had a hit with 'How Long'....

As to finding the cash for this...... no chance!

Larry - you're obviously welcome at STC anytime... next time you're in that helicopter thingy of yours just turn left at the New York turnpike (not sure if it actually has one but it sounds good....) and just keep going until Ireland. I'll stick an EMP banner on the roof!

Later - G.

i dunno if it's the exchange rate, greed, or both, but even in the stratospheric atmosphere of rock 'n roll fantasy camp pricing the london camp sets the bar (too high).

david (fishof) said they were limiting attendance to it at 50... i would contend that they can't find more than fifty people who'll pony-up that kind of money!

that said, it really would be a helluva experience - then again, for that kind of moolah, IT SHOULD BE!!! rofl
