...really burns my ass sometimes. LOL. I received this in my email from one of my co-workers this morning.

Casa D'Ice Restaurant near Pittsburgh (Just 10 miles southeast of Pittsburgh in North Versailles , PA ). The owner changes the marquee sign when he gets another idea or just wants to make a [political] statement and Wow!
This guy says things in a very direct manner!

Oh dear.... he has got a bee in his bonnet hasn't he? :-)

The big thing over here at the moment is a) the Big Dig in Liverpool.... the largest single city centre regeneration in Europe (...do a Google for Liverpool 08 and count the cranes and check out the size of the hole they dug!). Loads of companies here went for the contracts.... they say the majority went to the Mancs or the Poles. Bless them all, but the biggest city project in Europe and Scouse workers are in the minority...? Bollocks we cry!

And not forgetting b) Indian call centres - Go into your local High Street bank and deposit your hard-earned cash. Go home - ring them (on the obligatory 0800-whatever number) and after you go through the rigmarole of "Press 1 for savings, press 2 for investments, press 3 for a five-minute argument, otherwise wait and you will be connected to a customer service representative as soon as possible."

Only once was there cool music while I waited (Tubular Bells no less...) the rest is mostly lift music and shite. Eventually, after around fifteen minutes, you get to speak to Thomas... who speaks in very broken English. He can't locate your records on the computer, and when he does the information about the money you deposited earlier hasn't been updated on the computer because of the time difference between England and India. Smooth.....

I could go on but I might have to take another heart tablet..... :-)

HAHAHAHA!!! That is classic, Graham. But it's the same thing here for many things...such as HP Technical Support...or DirecTV...DishNet...and a host of other things. You call them up and you get connected to someone in New Deli whom you can hardly understand. One evening we were having difficulties with our satellite television so the wife calls DriecTV's 800 number...the first time she's connected to someone in California...she calls back 30 minutes later because the problem hasn't been resolved, and she gets someone in Charlotte, North Carolina (on the complete opposite side of the continent)...then they refer her to billing because "obviously" this is a billing issue of some sort...so she calls a third time and gets the New Deli accounting center. AND, in each case one of the options in the answering machine message is to "Press 1 for English"...HAHAHA. My wife is from the Philippines and sometimes gets annoyed that there is never an option for Tagalog (her native language).

I have to say, though, that the Indian guy who answered for HP Technical Support was quite helpful, but it was slow going until I finally became able to understand his English.
