thank ye, sir - i'm about to head-out to hit the links... when i return, barring having to unplug because of thunderstorms (they've been particularly big the past couple of afternoons) you WILL receive DMC via email later today (i rehearsed it awhile last evening and am happy with my rendition).
meantime, happy hump day to you - i'll be sure to return the holiday greetings next one you folks have (would that be the late summer holiday at the end of august?).
with that, i'm outta here! :)

Thanks Dave. Looking forward to receiving the files, although we're a bit busy here packing and preparing for our trip southward tomorrow. I hope the weather changes before the GP starts on Friday.... we're having torrential rain, storms and floods here at the minute.
My Floridian cousin came over here yesterday for dinner, and I took them on an impromptu Beatles tour after picking them up from the hotel. I've attached a photo of Lauren (my cousin) and her nieces - Erika and Jennifer. Her office is based in Punta Gorda and she lives in Port Charlotte, so she knows your neck of the woods well. How small a world is that then?? :-)
Cheers - G.

Happy 4th to all you guys too! Im taking it easy and will spend a lot of time in the studio today working on Tank and Tarkus. I need to get Tank up to speed and learn the rest of Tarkus. I have to admit that it is nice taking a temporary break from production and get back to focusing on playing some difficult pieces. I'll wrap current production projects when I get the files (CEM, Question and Barbarian). Im looking forward to getting a start on Tarkus too. I have the project setup and have completed the ref track as we all agreed upon. It runs about 22 minutes! I have, what I think, is a nice seg from studio to live versions. I'll post the complete ref track soon as it is too large to email.
have a great holiday guys!!!!

Happy 4th to you all from here as well! Today is my younger sister's birthday so we spent the afternoon up at Coldspring at my parent's house celebrating with her. I was appointed burger burner and managed to do a fair job of grilling a bunch of burgers while Pop looked on...giving me directions here and there...hehe. Couldn't (legally) have any brewskis today due to my company's 24 hour bottle-to-throttle rule as I begin my week at work early in the morning. But all in all it was a great 4th here.
Graham...thanks a million for sharing that pic of Aunt Mimi's house! It must be really cool to be able to go visit sites like that anytime you like. Ya GOTTA LOVE IT...I certainly do!

it's an amazingly small world, graham - that's crazy! yeah, punta gorda is only about a 30km to my north, with port charlotte not too much further. you can tell them that the normal summertime pattern is now in full-force - i only got-in seven holes of golf yesterday before lightning/thunderstorms stopped play... no dousing rain, just hit-and-miss showers and 90+ temps.
enjoy your visit... i'm still marveling that you have a cousin who lives so close to me!

That freaked me the hell out when he flipped it over where you could tell what it is...WOW. I can't paint anything right-side-up, let alone upside-down...jeeesh. That was incredible!

I debated starting a new topic for this, but decided it fit best with this thread.
Here's a real patriotic song...well, sort of...it could be considered patriotic I suppose...patriotism IS inflected in it near the end. Be sure you watch the ENTIRE clip so that you can fully understand where I'm coming from on this...you're going to LOVE IT!!!
What I can't understand here is that this artist isn't really all that talented, musically, in my opinion at least. But the responses he gets to his song in this clip is EVERY man's dream. Go figure.
