PUN INTENDED!!

How many of you knew that Stevie Wonder played drums??? Some probably could have guessed it I suppose because Stevie IS an incredibly talented individual. Check out this old video...Stevie does an incredible double-kick drum solo, particularly for the times this was made. He looks so artistic and makes it look like it's no big deal for him.

I once saw Stevie in '72 as he opened for The Rolling Stones Stick Fingers tour at Madison Square Garden. In the middle of one song he got up from his keyboards, completely unassisted, and went to each instrument in turn and did about a 5 minute solo on each. We are talking bass, guitar, drums, sax etc....every instrument, and then returned to his keyboards.

To this day I think it is the most amazing thing I have ever seen at any concert.

I still jam his stuff on bass all the time. "I Wish" and "Sir Duke" are my standard warmup exercises.

I think his stuff is superb... I've been playing the electric piano riff from 'Superstition' on guitar for years, and recently have been toying with the idea of finally recording a rock version of the song.... Deep Purple style!!!
