Amazing that it's already that time, huh RF?

I've just booked two nights at an El Cheapo motel in Lakeland - since West will be kicking-off their tour with two nights there (Fri/Sat)... only thing I'm debating is if those back-to-back nights will be enough, or if I should go ahead and make the third-night trek over to Sunrise (Ft. Lauderdale).

I'm also seriously looking at traveling SOMEWHERE for a weekend East show... I've never seen them (live) and figure I at least owe it to myself to catch them once. I am noticing that the closer you get to the actual Christmas holidays the more outlandish the airfares become (so much so that my daughter and I are discussing NOT getting together for the actual holiday... spending the $600-$700 on gifts for her instead).

hrm... come to think of it... airfares might be turbo-cheap after New Year's - maybe I should see them in Wilkes-Barre and perhaps get to meet MarkE live-and-in-living-color too! :)

Lastly, I'm gonna keep an eye on fares to Vegas for the Sunday show a couple of weeks later... similar rationale - what with all the fans who descend on the place, if I could get out there on the cheap for one night (then return on a red-eye) it might be fun.

Yep...one of the sadder realities of life is that the older you get the quicker it goes by....but, on a lighter note! It is great to see that my family can actually enjoy TSO this year BEFORE the Holidays......

As for Vegas....I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, the last time we ventured to the "land of decadence" we didn't make the show....but no biggie!

We (KC) are opening the new Sprint Center (Elton John will be the center "opener") and TSO will be there this year. I have a good friend whose company did the acoustic work in the "bowl", as it's fondly called, and TSO will be stoked to get out of Kemper arena and go there. It is considered to be pretty much perfect (in terms of acoustics).....really lookinf forward to it!
