Look at MEEEE! This is no longer a virgin board!!! I'm posting the very first thread here! MEEEE...a guitar player...HAHAHA.

Ok, ok, ok...enough babbling. Those of you who have been familiar with Jethro Tull's band member lineup for the past, ummm...15 years or so will be familiar with Andrew Giddings. He played keyboards for Tull for about that long...until recently.

Over the course of the past 4 or 5 years, he has been gracious to communicate with me from time to time via email...he was the webmaster for j-tull.com when they first got it going and we communicated about the website most of the time...but Andrew is also a pilot so we have a few little things in common which keep us in touch. He is also one of my myspace friends.

Since he's left Tull he's been busy with his own home-studio work and has produced some really fine music...well he has been doing that since long before he left Tull, but now that he's not on tour he has more time to devote to it. I just received a bulletin from him about a remix of one of his new songs..."I Can Do That" which had been getting so many hits and comments that AG remixed it and reposted it. It is really a nice instrumental piece with a hilarious dialogue (my opinion)...AG doesn't sing, but he talks and some of what he says is typical off-color humor. I Can Do That is the first song in his player.

Also in his player...the 5th song (use the scroll tool along the right side of the player itself) is a song called Weightless...it is a very fine instrumental piece that causes me to have visions of soaring over, around, and through the clouds in an airplane...it's incredible!

On a side note...I once received a myspace message from him asking about the drums in a couple of my jam songs I had on my player at the time...he wanted to know what I used. I told him about the Boss DR880 and gave him a link to their site where there were some video demos...the next day he wrote back to inform me that he'd ordered one...about 2 weeks later, his Fiddleydee song (about #4 in his player) was posted in raw form...it wasn't nearly as produced...it was only the DR880 and a couple of other instruments...but he messaged me to let me know that was the first of his tunes to use it.

Ok...get over to myspace and listen to his tunes...you'll enjoy them. While you're at it, make a friend request...Andrew is a very cool guy and will usually take the time to reply to you once in a while.
