Did something we have never done before today.... the Honda Formula 4 Powerboats came to the Mersey this weekend to take part in a two-day race fest... we took a walk around town and took some shots of them in the Albert dock... but while there, we decided to visit The Beatles Story museum (never been in before...).

It was really good... a typical audio visual tour with different sections representing the history of the band through to their solo careers - highpoints?

Mock-up of Frank Hessy's music store (legendary Liverpool music shop where the Beatles bought their kit from...also my Ibanez Blazer and the leather strap I use were bought from the same shop around 1979 / 80. The shop closed for good in 1995).
War medals worn by John on the cover of 'Sgt.Pepper'
Suits worn by the band in 'A Hard Days Night'
The Macca LIPA room - built by students from the PM supported college.
The White Room....(ala 'Imagine')

It was nice to be the tourist for once (...although I did smile when the girl who gave us our tickets spoke to us in a US accent, and the next girl who gave us our headsets for the tour was Japanese!). Liverpool.... the world in one city indeed!! :-)
