Hi Guys..

First, let me wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope that you are spending the day with family and loved ones.

Anyway, Lindsay came out to PA for the holiday, and she brought with her a Beatles CD called Beatles Love. It is the soundrack for Circus Soliel.

This is without a doubt one of the most interesting and enjoyable remixes I've heard yet. I thought that you all might enjoy it if you haven't heard it yet. I cant quit playing it. This is the kinda thing best listened to in a darkened room, under headphones toking on a bong :) Its magnificent!!

This is the kind of thing I would have loved to produce if I had their original tracks in the can here at hawk. I found it quite interesting how the tempos line up throughout the various songs. This is the ultimate segway album.

I ripped her CD into mp3 tracks (26 in all) and uploaded it to the site.

A private email will follow this message shortly with direct links to the mp3s.

One note: I put a track number in front of each file name because the track order is important to the album mix and production. In other words, its best when listened to in order. You will understand when listening to it.

Let me know what you think

Wow! Thanks Mark (and Lindsay)! I can't wait to check this out. Unfortunately certain surprise work policies preclude me from following the all of the manufacturer's recommendations for enjoyment (e.g. bake at 98.6 Degrees, hehe), but I just know I'm gonna love it nonetheless.

Here's wishing all of you guys and your loved ones a peaceful and happy Thanksgiving Day.

Evening folks...

I've had the album now for a while, and like Mark I was knocked out by the re-working of the tracks by Giles and his father. There was a documentary on TV here on the BBC a while back which told the story of how it came to be... some of it has appeared on YouTube, although I've yet to find the full thing. It was brilliant...and watching the Martin duo, Macca and Ringo discussing the masters was just awe-inspiring.

There is a rumour going on around here that we might be able to have access to a section of the show (somehow!) next year during the Liverpool European Capital of Culture celebrations. Ringo is opening the celebrations by playing a free concert on the roof of St.George's Hall in the city centre (...I wonder where he got that idea from! ;-) It should be spectacular (see photo below...).

Macca himself is headlining at one of the highlights of the year.... playing with a load of other bands at the home of Liverpool Football Club - Anfield Stadium. I found out two weeks ago that I was lucky enough to get two premium tickets for this - I'm taking the other singer in the family, Becky, as a surprise.... she's going to love it!

Here's a smidegeon of the Circque show from YouTube.... enjoy!! G.

awesome....awesome...AWESOME!!! Lindsay and I really enjoyed watching that.
I was looking on youtube earlier for it just before dinner. I figured that youtube was being painfully slow as usual. Great stuff Larry. It inspired me to try learning it on the keyboard.

Happy turkey dude!
