All the tanks are RC except the grey tiger. The Stewart has sound and shoots missles and is 1:6 scale. The Abrams is 1:9 scale with sound and shoots missles. The Tiger, Panther and PanzerIII are 1:16 scale, all have sound and are airsoft (mwhahahahahaha) and smoke. The Mark4 is 1:18 with sound. The King Tiger is 1:35 and just putts along but was very cheap ($7 LOL). And the other big tank just says Panzer on it, no other details but is also airsoft.

Shot with the subs...

The uboat is the same scale as the Gato class, not quite as big naturally but the uboat is much more versatile than the Gato because you can make it into different versions of uboats. It's much more versatile than the Gato. It was really hard for me to decide which type of uboat to make from it. TOO MANY DAMN CHOICES! LOL!

Wow...tons of neat stuff. I especially like the tanks. I considered an RC tank once, just to chase the cat around with :) It would scare the shit outta him.

By the way, I joined the ranks of the dark side. I ordered a top feeder airbrush for those occasions where I would need it. Its an Iwata HP-C Plus. I like that it has a 3oz bottle on top.

I love Scotts planes too. The Stuka, stangs etc... Tell him Im building a E2C Hawkeye and a F104 Starfighter now.

Thanks for posting all the pictures. I really enjoy looking at that stuff.

I love the Seaview too. I remember building one of these as a kid. Also, Ive recently been watching reruns of that show and Combat, 12 ockock high and Time Tunnel. Gotta love Tivo!! TV was so much better in those days.

The aircraft collection is nice. I missed the P40 the first time I looked through the pictures. Nice jobs on all.

I'm just about ready to hit the E2C Hawkeye with its first coat of primer. Its a pretty clean build with a few minor errors. I plan to try a new technique on this one....preshading. I'll start a thread on it and post some pictures as I go.

Please tell Scott....great job on all!!! I really enjoyed looking at the pics.

Morning all....(12:30am here!).

Great shots of the model collection... much impressed by seeing the Seaview again (...incidentally, what was the airborne bit called - 'Skyview??') and also a quick glimpse of .... (was that really Robbie the robot?).

I'll have to root out the model of 'Thunderbird 2' and the 'Enterprise' I have in storage to let you have a look at! :-)

Have a great Thursday!

Cheers - G.

Hi Graham

I think you are talking about the Seaview. it was the name of the submarine in the 60's TV series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Richard Basehart had the starring role. He showed up in a lot of stuff in those days including a very convincing Nazi Hauptman in the series Combat. I just saw that one recently.

Do you guys have Tivo in the UK??

Graham, that was called the Flying Sub. I'm impressed you remember that!

And the robot is B9 from Lost in Space. I'd love to have a Robby that size though.

Oops...I guess my brain was in a parallel universe and totally misread what Graham wrote. That was a really cool show.

Oh, I meant to ask but forgot... The Bismarck...holy shit that is really nice. How friggin big is that thing? It looks huge in the photo.

One of the manufacturers, Revell I think, has a really large USS Missouri that I'd love to do. I have so many AFVs and planes on queue that it will have to wait :)

Forbiden Planet....best sci-fi movie of all time!

Obvious really when I think about it, but thanks for putting me to rights Trace!

I remember an episode where a giant octopus came up from somewhere and grabbed Seaview around the front. I think they got rid of it by channeling a charge of electricity from the nuclear reactors through the superstructure of the main hull. From what I remember it worked a treat, but I couldn't help but wonder why all those sailors who were clinging onto this bit of metal and that, didn't get a similar spark through the nether regions!

I saw the same episode a few years afterwards when I started to grow up a bit (i.e. leaving Action Man and LEGO behind and getting into music and girls (not necessarily in that order!), I noticed that the giant octopus looked a bit small, filmed in slo-mo, and hanging onto what appeared to be a model sub.

God bless Richard Basehart! Great stuff!!!

Cool!!!! Honestly, I don't know where you keep all this stuff! My loft would be full to the brim if I had a great collection like this!!!

Lot's of shelves and Lots of models hanging from the ceiling! LOL

This thread got Scott motivated to fix our Forbidden Planet space ship. It got busted up during a move and he has it sitting on the living room floor for repairs now. At 28 inches wide (71.12 centimeters), it's quite big. It even came with a little Robby the Robot but he is sooooo tiny! The set is 1:72 scale.

I'll post a pic later when I drag my camera out.
