View Full Version : Pershing tank Completed

Here are pictures of the completed Pershing tank. Again, the pics look a little unnatural compared to the real thing. I need to setup a photo booth. This was the third "beater" tank I quick-built to practice weathering so no biggie.

Weathering was dry brushed silver enamel, raw umber oil paint wash with rust and mud pigments. Otherwise finish is Tamiya acrylics. I special mixed the olive drab from several Tamiya colors.

This tank has articulating suspension with springs on the first and last road wheels. This is why the center 4 road wheels look like they are floating a bit. I need to loosen up on the springs a little.

The figures have been glossed with future and will receive weathering. I want to wait on this until I read a bit more on weathering figures. They are shiny for now :)

You did a killer job on the weathering. Scott really likes it too.

He says since you're sooo busy with the other models, you should let him have your Tiger LOL

Thanks guys. This weathering shit is really coming together. i wish I could get better pics though, it looks completely different in real life.

Onward and upward! I love this hobby. its such a great way to decompress from the daily stresses at my job.
