Good afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is doing great and will be enjoying a great weekend. Oh, and by the way...Happy Mother's Day to all of you "mothers" out there whom I so carelessly failed to greet on this day. You can do the same for me next month for father's day and we will be even...LOL.

I have always been a big fan of the Alan Parsons Project. Not too many people realize that Alan Parsons has been around much longer than you may think, and has been involved with some projects you may not be aware of. Before emerging with his own material in the mid-70s...which he had always referred to as his project (thus the name, Alan Parsons Project)...he was building a very impressive resume for behind the scenes work. He got his start at Abbey Road Studio in the late 60's as an assistant...could you imagine being an assistant to George Martin??? WOW! And another little tidbit that I just learned today is that Alan Parsons was there on the rooftop plying his engineering talents while the Beatles were banging out Get Back, Don't Let Me Down, I Dig A Pony, etc. He really broke out into his own a couple of years later, however, as THE engineer for Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon album. And the story goes that he did that project for them for a flat fee, which meant no royalties down the road, etc. He could have retired if it had been otherwise, but who could know DSOTM would have been such a colossal success?

Here is my version of one of my most favorite Alan Parsons songs...Eye In The Sky. It is really a very simple, non-complex, piece of work...and could be considered quite boring to some people. I could never touch the engineering of the original, which is the factor that takes simple things and makes them very attractive and bold. Many times it is the more simple things which are the best and most enduring though, reference several of the Beatles songs. In MY effort, I have taken a sow's ear and created yet ANOTHER sow's ear (as opposed to a silk purse)...LOL...but I think it's a sow's ear I can take pleasure in, and hopefully YOU will as well. :D

OMFG. Holy crap man. Great job Larry! You really tore this one up dude. I like everything about it. The bass, keys, guitar all enjoyable and the vox is superb.

This is the best one you have done yet. They just keep getting better and better.

This one get an official MarkE :bowing:

This kicks ass, Larry. Great work! Just when you thought you couldn't get enough of the SilverHamer, into the screen steps his "evil twin" to join in on harmonies! haha

I saw Alan Parsons Project project open for I think Yes, maybe 5 years ago. Very cool
