This is from Alice Cooper's Killer LP, circa 1971.

I have not mentioned it to anyone here except for MarkE, but my younger cousin, Tim, is just getting back into playing drums after a 15 year hiatus. When his daughter was born, he quit playing and actually gave his kit (or sold it) to one of his nephews who has turned out to be a pretty decent drummer himself.

15 years later...on Christmas 2007...Tim's wife and daughter surprise him with a new drum kit!!! Great idea and a wonderful gesture, but Tim discovered that he had a major case of atrophe from not playing for all those years. He has been rediscovering his chops slow but sure, and he recently asked if I would do some things with him...to which I replied "HELL YEA!!!"

Tim has gone way back into the older music he learned back in the day in order to find his chops...he has been playing Ron Bushy's drum solo from In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida to get his kicker back in shape, and to get his hands and feet to start working together again. We began work on a few old Alice Cooper songs and we have 2 of them complete now, and they are both in my myspace player at this time. However, Desperado turned out so well that it inspired me to hunt down some old western cowboy gunfighting scenes to compile with the music...and this is it. Hope you'll enjoy.

BTW, I sent Tim a copy of our DVD and he is absolutely blown away with our work. He's now a bona-fide EMP fan. :D AND he's doing very well with his playing...pretty damn good, actually, considering how long he went without doing it.

Hope you enjoy the vid.

PS.

MarkE, you had asked me to send you a copy of the Pirates video...I still have a lot of work to do with it, and I need more scenes. Whenever I get the time I plan to go to a video rental store, or even to Wal-Mart, and try to locate some old pirate flicks to use. I don't think using the Disney stuff is a very good idea right now...HAHAHA. I will get you a good clean copy as soon as I can.

I'd say Tim got his chops back :)

Great work guys. Keep it up.

Tim should sign into the forum.
