Lyrics For Curse Of Baba Yaga

Hi All...

I've just posted this message to the GL and LOTL sites requesting their help with identifying the correct lyrics for the above. I've also dropped Tony O a line to see if he can help.

As usual, if the original lyrics aren't absolutely clear then you get a number of variations to it, especially as the years pass! What I've gleaned so far from what I've sang previously, the internet, or otherwise, are:

'Double faces try defense, talk too loud but talk no sense
yeah I see those smiling eyes, cut us up with smiling knives!'

Talk to creatures raise the dead, fate you know it sure got fed
drain the blood from hearts of stone, hour of horses pick the bone!'

Some of them may well have been distorted in one way or another over the years... 'fate you know... hour of horses...' as two in particular I'm not sure about, so any help you can give will be most appreciated!

I know MarkD for one is a stickler on lyrics... come on matey, go for it! :-)

Hi Graham. These are probably the most difficult of all GL's lyrics to decipher. I'll have to give a listen and see what I can come up with relative to what you've written out here. But one line I always felt pretty sure about was that that your "hour of horses" is "whores and hustlers pick the bone". Give another listen and tell me what you think.

Graham. I posted back to backs. Check out my other post, which has both sections in their entirety. Not sure if this was someone's own interpretation or they had a source to the actual lyrics. GL has a book out of his lyrics so I imagine the correct ones are being cited by some out there on the Net.
