It's probably a good thing that I am not in charge...people would hate ME more than they have anyone who has held office in the past few decades because I'd be opening up the "football" to obtain launch codes instead of sending our troops into an incredibly "undefined" fray of battle only to be blown to shreds by an IED or some suicide lunatic wearing an explosive vest. We could have saved billions of dollars if we'd have only pushed a button back in 2001, one ICBM would cost only a fraction of what we've spent sending troops..."you Afghan bastards have 48 hours to hand over Bin Laden or Afghanistan will become the Glass capital of the world."

Of course we would now be in WWIII as a result of my actions, which is why I say it is a damn good thing I am not in charge. :D I am also of the opinion that we should stop bridling Israel and allow them to deal with their own problems because if we did, well, Israel would be kicking their asses and we wouldn't have any reason to be over there at all. During Desert Storm we should have allowed Israel to retaliate for the SCUD missile attacks...I guarantee that Sadam would have been taken out before any coalition forces would have breached the border of Iraq.

Maybe we will all have the opportunity to learn that we, too, should be living a vigilant lifestyle like your average Israeli who has been living with terrorism their whole lives. We are not programmed that way, we are apathetic, and when we DO have a terror attack here on our soil we try to rationalize the blame for it to a government conspiracy. We are losing our minds. And for what it's worth...the Christmas Day Underwear Bomber should be treated as a combatant who attempted to kill everyone else on that airplane as an act of WAR...and he has NO goddamn rights under the US Constitution as a defendant because he is NOT ONE OF US!!! I wish people would wake the hell up over this shit!

When the US falls on it's ass, it will be due to our own apathy and self-important arrogance. God help us!
