Tell me how to protect my computer

I have the firewall that came with my windows xp. (http://nba.sports-sport.info/basketball-nba.html) I want a better one. (http://nba.sports-sport.info/nba-wife.html) What is a VERY good firewall i can download and use for free that dosen't slow down my computer?

Google for AVG free...I have been using AVG free virus protection for the past 3 or 4 years and it's great...PLUS there is a firewall download on the same page. Give that one a try.

I use ZoneAlarm and have no problems at all. And best of all, it's free :) They also have a pro version if you decide to upgrade.

a really easy way is to put yourself behind a router (even if you have only the one computer) - the reassignment of ip's that it does acts as an all but impenetrable firewall.
