Have you guys considered voice/video chat to aid your collaborations? I think it would help you a lot especially if/when you branch off into some original stuff.
Friends and I use voiceandvideochat.com often. It's an easy registration and you can have as many open mics as you want. In free mode, I think there is a 3 video window limit but the site is super easy to use and voice is in smooth realtime. I'd love to see you all there sometime!

Hi Trace.
My daughters use Microsoft Messenger (with or without webcams). I'm away for the weekend driving a Ferrari (birthday present!) but will check this site out whenI get back. I agree it probably would make life easier... as long as we can get over the international time difference! :o
Cheers - G.

Web cam at the ready here too! There are several clients we could use, and audio conferencing would be about as good as video conferencin because the video stream never quite makes it to the realm of real time. Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, the site Tracy mentioned is unfamiliar territory for me personally but I will check it out.

Well, I was thinking more for audio than vid...but both are cool :)
I think it would be helpful noodling out tunes (I'll go back to my corner now and shut up).

Don't you DARE! This is a great idea any way you look at it!! There are a lot of people out there who have never used anything like this and feel intimidated by it...that is why I never brought it up before. Of course, most of us have videos on the internet...as well as audio tracks...so I should know better than to think anyone of this group would ever be intimidated...HAHAHA. I shall give myself 50 lashes with a wet noodle for that one...please don't confuse that with me noodling anything out though...
:D

My way of looking at web-camming / YouTube etc ....
If you've been onstage in a working men's club in Liverpool; they expected a country band (...we were called Rambler at the time!), and then we turned up with a double 4x12 stack each (plus a double bass drum kit); the audience then began moving away from the stage to save their ears; the mood was rough at the start with a fair smattering of heckling.....
...at the end, I was off the stage with a long mike lead dancing with the women (probably a couple of guys too if they were pissed enough!). Three encores at least followed, plus a couple of extra gig offers too!
We bloody well survived!!!
If you've been through that, then web-camming etc. is really a piece of p*&s! :P
Have a good Friday all..... G.

sorry i haven't yet responded - you guys know my standard excuse by now.
i am also webcam equipped on both pc's - on the desktop i've got y! and skype already installed, and though i haven't used msn for years i imagine it wouldn't take much to get it going again.
on the notebook i've got ichat - for other mac users it's so seamless as to be scary... but i dunno if it's adaptable to the pc.
either way, just lemme know if something gets going - i'm definitely in for this!
