...but did any of you guys ever get into reading the Freak Brothers comics back in the days when we used to roll our own cigarettes with the funny green tobacco? Oh man...I was absolutely enthralled by them.

l to r: Fat Freddie's Cat, Frank, Fat Freddie, and Phineus.

Another classic cover...the three Freaks watching the ant race on TV like it's a program...HAHAHA.

Frank was my favorite...except the little mini strips about Fat Freddie's Cat were always funny as hell...the cat usually took a shit in Freddie's stereo headphones to get even with him.

And then there is Frank's classic expression about times with no money...BWAHAHAHAHA!
Ok...if any of this offended anyone I apologize and will accept my 50 lashes with a wet noodle....HAHAHA. I just found this shit on the internet the other day and had a major flash back to the early 70's.

OMFG! What website did you find that on? I absolutely loved the FreakBros back in the day. The cat comics were my favorite. I recall one where the cat ate the guys stash so he kicked the crap out of the cat. Then the cat shit in his shoe LOL

I remember one episode where Fat Freddie thought his cat was being way to hyper, so he puts him inside a paper bag and smokes a doobie, blowing the smoke inside the bag to get the cat high. That was fine until the munchies set in on the cat...HAHAHAHA.
I was perusing ebay and someone had an original comic book up for auction, so it inspired me to do a little googling and I found these pics.

I remember this comic! Yeah, great stuff. I was always too wrecked to read it though :)
Speaking of cats getting stoned...Tra...do you remember when I used to hang with you guys in Long Beach every day after work? I remember sitting on the floor in front of the couch almost on a daily basis after work, and loading up the popeye. I remember Snow used to nudge the popeye with her nose waiting for me to load it up, and then remain for a buzz. I miss that cat, and those days.

Never saw that one, but we had MAD over here, and Private Eye's been around a while....

I loved MAD (Alfred E. Newman RULES!). Spy VS Spy and all.
I was also addicted to horror comics like Creepy, Eerie and Vampirella

I was addicted to comics and the artwork in some is what inspires my artworks to date. Here is a Vampi I did a few years ago in colored pencil...

That is brilliant! You're very talented, even without learning the piano!!
My art skills were confined to machines.... I used to take weeks making pencil and ink drawings of gigantic spaceships on large pieces of graph paper, but I was hopeless at figures drawing. My son Peter is a very good cartoonist, and is studying Conputer Graphics and Web Design at Bradford University... so he'd be impressed with your vampire lady!

Larry - This comic looks hysterical. I'm probably a little too young to remember it, but it reminds me of a Grateful Dead-type comic book my brother had in the 80's.
Tracy - I love your artwork. You're scary talented! I think Devils Food is one of my favorites.
I took an adult school oil painting class about 7 years ago. My inspiration was the late great and ever-soothing Bob Ross, who I used to watch routinely during Summers in high school and college while home for lunch hour. I also used to watch William Alexander (no, not Emerson's former handler. hehe), who I think may have taught Ross. I hadn't done much since that class, but I just did my first two paintings since 2001 last weekend. I had one helluva time opening the caps to the tubes, but was pleased to see the paint hadn't dried out. Sure, they look a bit amateurish. But hell, it's lots of fun and very gratifying.
