Larry - Lacking drums, BIG time! :( Sorry man. January was a pretty rough onth for me and also I've been having a hard time getting time in to practice it, as it entails my wife being outta the house. She doesn't cut me much slack. Good news is that I actually did practice it a couple of times last night but the kit isn't currently mic'd for the song, so I didn't roll the tape. I usually roll the tape even on practice runs, b/c you never know if you're gonna get lucky and nail it. Believe me though - nothing was missed by not recording myself last night
More good news is that my wife has a couple of things scheduled in the evenings later this week and if I can't nail it by Friday night, I have all day two Saturdays from now to put towards it. Hope you don't mind waiting that long if it comes down to it.
So what's the deal - is everyone else just about done? Yoiu and Jake set.

Hey all is cool here. I have been away alot myself. When I get home Thursday I will have been away for 12 days and I will have a 6 day break this time. The guy who had been working the opposite schedule from me got fired so I have been having to cover that position...lol.
MarkD, to answer your question, I have laid down the guitar parts and I believe MarkE said Jake has done the flute. Good things come to them that wait :)
Have you guys recorded Lucky Man? That song makes my wife like putty in my hand when I play it for her...and I in turn become a Lucky Man in a manner of speaking...muahahaha.

Hi Guys... surprisingly enough, Trilogy is rather high on my list of TTD! Larry - Lucky Man was on the list as well you'll be glad to hear - if I get any time towards the weekend I might try and pre-empt things by recording a vocal for each of them. Will beat work work any day!

I have a favorite expression which I got from a coffee mug my daughter gave me for my birthday several years ago...it says,
THIS JOB KEEPS INTERFERING WITH MY DAY!
I have VH1 Classic going on my computer room tele and it's Metalmania time...KISS without makeup...seems odd seeing them like that. But I'm diggin' it all the same!

i really need to be more thorough in checking new threads... i didn't even see this one until this morning... thanks for all the good vibes, guys. if rrfc ever gets us our dvds maybe i'll be able to share what we sounded-like.
meantime, i'm guessing all the playing over those five days burned-me-out, as i haven't touched the keys since. but i do plan on putting barbarian, knife edge, and trilogy at the top of my list to hone then record.
thanks again everyone...
